Fiona Smith Darragh

Born in England and brought up in Worcestershire, wildlife and horses were a part of my life from an early age. My family moved to Ireland when I was in my teens, and later, I worked in Dublin for several years as a Graphic Designer. Between 1994 and1997 I undertook a practical bronze casting course at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin, and I have been exhibiting regularly ever since . Irish native birds, and endangered species are of particular interest to me. My pieces are unique, or small limited editions in bronze. I now live and work in County Meath, where there is an abundance of wildlife. On the coast there are many kinds of sea birds, both resident and migrant. My work can be seen in Jorgensen Fine Art in Dublin, The Lost Gallery Strathdon, Scotland, The Greenlane Gallery, Dingle, Co. Kerry, or In London by contacting Irish Contemporary Art at norriebuxton@aol.com Memberships include The Sculptors Society of Ireland. The Artists Association of Ireland and Birdwatch Ireland.
