Ian McAllister, a graduate of Fine Art at the University of Ulster, was born in Newtownards in 1966. His previous exhibitions include ‘The Objects of Art Exhibition at Ards Art Centre in 1992 and solo exhibitions at The Eakin Gallery, Belfast in 1993 and 1996. He has been a regular contributor to the Spring, Summer & Christmas Exhibitions at Jorgensen Fine Art since 1994. This will be his fourth solo exhibition at the gallery, following on three highly acclaimed exhibitions in 1998, 2001 and 2004. He has also exhibited successfully in London in a two-man exhibition at The Albemarle Gallery in 1999 and a group show at Messum Fine Art. Paintings by Ian McAllister are now featured in the collections of The University of Ulster and British Telecom. His work has proved to be very popular with private collectors in Ireland, England and the United States.
