Kevin McNamara

Places with remarkable light are of particular interest to Kevin McNamara; his goal is to capture the light and colours peculiar to that place. In this exhibition his eye is caught by the wide spaces of the Florida Wetlands, the dry landscapes of Spain, the romanticism of rural France and the beauties of his native Dublin. He has a strong facility for depicting water; light reflected off water might be regarded as the signature characteristic of his work.. As S.B.Kennedy says in the introduction to his catalogue, 'colours, seen at a particular moment in time, become the primary focus of his endeavour'. In the darkening days of November, the walls of Jorgensen Fine Art are ablaze with Kevin's colour.
