Catherine E. Greene is an established figurative sculptor working in bronze and latterly mixed media. Her versatile output ranges from large scale civic sculpture, to private commissions and large exhibition pieces to smaller sculptures which explore the figure in the context of the sensual and often surreal world which they inhabit. Major commissions include the equestrian memorial of the Irish patriot, Thomas Francis Meagher in Waterford, the Memorial to the much loved Irish comedian, Dermot Morgan in Merrion Square Dublin; and the central Altarpiece sculpture of the crucified Christ in the new basilica, Fatima Portugal.
Her sculpture is included in many private and corporate collections both in her native Ireland and internationally, including the collections of the Bank of Ireland, Boyle Civic Art, Duchas (The Heritage Service), the O.P.W. at Farmleigh House, Blackrock Clinic Dublin, Aer Rianta - Dublin/Moscow, Greenpeace Ireland, Allied Irish Bank - London, and the National Portrait Collection of Ireland at the University of Limerick.
