The Jorgensen Gallery, one of Ireland's leading fine art galleries, is a contemporary Irish art gallery in the heart of Dublin, showing paintings and sculpture by artists from Ireland and continental Europe. We also exhibit late 19th/mid 20th century Irish and European art, and a selection of quality antiques and collectibles.

Our current exhibition at the gallery spans over a hundred years of European fine art, with paintings and sculpture by our contemporary gallery artists shown alongside a selection of paintings by well-known Irish and European artists of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. Artists featured in this exhibition, include Walter Osborne, Georges Braque, Rose Brigid Ganly, William Percy French, Frank McKelvey, Mainie Jellett, Camille Souter, Catherine Greene, Felim Egan, Clement McAleer, Martin Mooney, Patrick Hickey, Maria Levinge, Anna Campbell & Rowan Gillespie.

The Jorgensen Gallery, formerly Jorgensen Fine Art, is housed in an elegant Georgian premises on Molesworth Street, Dublin 2, adjacent to Grafton Street, Dublin’s premier shopping street, the National Gallery of Ireland and Trinity College, Dublin.
For over twenty five years, the Jorgensen Gallery has been one of the best known Irish art galleries in Dublin, specializing in contemporary paintings and sculpture, by artists from Ireland, England and Continental Europe. We also exhibit late 19th and early 20th century Irish and European paintings. Important Irish art currently on view at the gallery includes paintings by Walter Osborne, Norman Garstin, Edwin Hayes, and Percy French. Other notable Irish artists include Camille Souter, Charles Brady, Basil Blackshaw, Tony O'Malley, George Campbell, William Scott and Neil Shawcross. Our display of paintings and sculpture at the gallery is further enhanced by a selection of antique Irish, English and French furniture, lamps and vases. |

Rose Brigid Ganly

Rose Brigid Ganly's painting "Female Nude" dates from 1951, the year that she travelled to Paris to study with renowned French Cubist artist, André Lhote. The influence of Lhote is apparent in this painting with its shallow perspective, and three dimensional forms broken down into flattened planes of complimentary colours, in order to create a harmonious composition.

Constantin Kluge

Constantin Kluge’s paintings show his captivation with the city of Paris, whether it is in the gaiety and animation of the flower markets, or the quiet serenity of the banks of the Seine. Although Kluge trained as an architect, he is now remembered primarily for his art, and was made a Chevallier of the Legion of Honour, in recognition of his contribution to French art and culture.

A Chinese iron painting depicting a landscape of pine trees growing from the edges of cliffs among clouds. The upper right-hand corner is inscribed with a poem. An iron painting is constructed using separate pieces of wrought iron which are heated and fused together, to create a sculptural artwork, that evokes Chinese brush paintings, in a three dimensional form.

Norman Garstin
(1847 - 1926)
(1847 - 1926)
Irish artist, Norman Garstin was born in County Limerick in 1847. He trained as an artist in Antwerp and Paris, and his paintings were very much influenced by French artists such as Édouard Manet and Edgar Degas, both of whom he met in Paris. His paintings can now be found in many important public art collections including those of the the National Gallery of Art, Dublin, and the Tate Gallery and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.
